Georgetown, Ky. (July 21, 2025) - Baptist Health Kentucky, in partnership with Dallas-based Intuitive Health, today broke ground on its newest combined emergency and urgent care facility. Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care is located at the Town Center at Amerson Orchard, 115 Amerson Way in Georgetown. The new facility is scheduled to open late next year. Baptist Health opened its first combined emergency room and urgent care under one roof model in Jeffersonville, IN in 2022. This is the fifth project for Baptist Health, but the first in the greater Lexington area.
“This new facility in Georgetown represents another bold step forward in Baptist Health’s mission to reshape how care is delivered in our region,” said Chris Roty, president of Baptist Health Lexington. “As our fifth combined emergency and urgent care location, it reflects our continued focus on expanding access beyond Lexington and providing the appropriate level of care when and where it’s needed.”
The innovative combined ER and urgent care facility eliminates the need for patients to self-diagnose before seeking medical attention. Upon arrival, each patient is evaluated by a board-certified emergency physician, who determines the appropriate level of care required. This seamless triage process ensures that patients receive precisely the care they need, whether urgent or emergent. Plus, with a unique billing model, patients only pay for the care they actually receive, potentially helping save money, time, and the stress of having to choose between the ER and urgent care.
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with Baptist Health as we break ground on this fifth combined emergency and urgent care facility,” said Dr. Jay Woody, Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Intuitive Health. “Our model is designed to put patients first by removing the uncertainty of where to go for care, lowering costs, and improving the overall patient experience. It’s exciting to see this proven approach grow in Kentucky, making high-quality, convenient care more accessible to more communities.”
