Dan Wolterman

Biography

Dan Wolterman, former CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, led Texas’ largest not-for-profit health system from 2002-2016.  He has been recognized seven times by Modern Healthcare’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare, and was ranked #15 out of over 21,000 entries in 2012. Mr. Wolterman was recognized in a year that included notables such as President Barack Obama (#4), Chief Justice John Roberts (#1), and Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney (#13).
 
Under his leadership, Memorial Hermann became one of the most prominent health systems in the United States and was named one of the top 15 health systems (#5) by Thomas Reuters. This prestigious award is based on clinical outcomes, patient safety, patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
