Dehydration is a condition caused by excessive water loss. It can cause weakness, fatigue and even cramps and lead to heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Dr. Jay Woody, the physician at Legacy ER & Urgent Care, recommends drinking water to alleviate symptoms of mild dehydration, such as infrequent urination, dark yellow urine, headaches, and muscle cramps. He suggests that most people can get rid of these symptoms simply by drinking water and rehydrating the body.
